Police officer finds Stow Twp. woman’s missing wheelchair
A Stowe Township woman who thought her wheelchair was stolen had it returned to her Saturday.
Cynthia Rutherford suffered a stroke two years ago and it left the right side of her body paralyzed.
She said she used her Hoveround wheelchair to get around.
“It kept me from being more depressed and down about what happened,” Rutherford said. “It’s not easy having a stroke.”
After seeing the story on Channel 11 News about the missing wheelchair, a Stowe Township police officer said he found the chair and returned it to Rutherford.
